This symphonic composition was commissioned in June 2022 as a gift for a friend's graduation. It aims to capture the full range of emotions relating to modern human challenges, reflecting experiences from thrill to heartbreak, nostalgia to revelation, and closing chapters birthing into exciting new ones. It was written using MuseScore software and a digital piano.
While each of the sections of this piece represent something different for me personally, I would like for you to listen with an open mind and consider the reflections they may have on your own character or story, without any further description or bias from me.
The title "Dreamscapes" aims to reach the greatest breadth possible for interpretation, feeling, and memories. As it stands right now, the piece exists only as a MIDI file and YouTube video; a wind band arrangement is in the works which I hope to have performed at the university level in the future.
As an artist, I am always looking for outlets to express myself creatively. One of my favorite ways of doing this is through composing and arranging! I am currently seeking commission requests for friends, family, and strangers alike, whether it is intended as a gift, a piece for a debuting orchestra or a film, for educational purposes, or just for your own personal enjoyment! I submitted this arrangement of Butter by BTS as a student arranger in 2021. It was both written for and performed by the Temple University Diamond Marching Band in their 2021 halftime show, "Summer Hits." I did not arrange the percussion parts.
I submitted this arrangement of Liar by Camila Cabello as a student arranger in 2019. It was both written for and performed by the Temple University Diamond Marching Band in their 2019 halftime show, "Award Winners." I did not arrange the percussion parts.
This is a short orchestral piece I wrote in January 2022, and it was inspired by the snowstorm I watched develop outside my window. The contrast between the small, softer moments in the beginning and the end, the middle section involving full sonority and whirling harmonic lines, as well as the subtle dissonances you may hear in the harmonies represent how quickly the pattern and intensity of snowfall can change, just as I had witnessed that day.
This is a laid back R&B track I wrote in April 2021. The title was inspired by the lyrics, which have since been discarded, as I felt the tune was stronger as a stand-alone instrumental piece. The "skip" in the groove, juxtaposed with the smooth solo in the middle, reminds me of carefree relaxation.
I am always working to better myself and my art, but I need your help! If you have listened to my music, please click the button below to share your thoughts, questions, compliments, or whatever comes to mind.
