About My Teaching

As an emerging connoisseur of music, I recognize the value and necessity in ensuring a positive and artistic future for the performance medium. I find that the sharing of life experiences - both good and bad, as all experiences have the potential to be highly informative - is a critical step in the building of the next generation of musicians. The idea is simple: music creates community, community creates this culture of sharing, and sharing enables tradition. Community is one of the trademark benefits of participation in music tracing back hundreds of years, and having seen the benefit of musical participation in my own life, I take it upon myself to be a consistent model for others in challenging yourself, becoming a lifelong learner, overcoming adversity with maturity, and fostering safety and inclusion within the learning space.

While a great deal of this is centered around my journey in creating a positive, efficient culture of music learning at Bonita Springs High School, included here are also several academic projects of mine that I wrote and completed while studying at the University of Miami.
